Revision3 Axes InDigital

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Revision3 has pulled the plug on InDigital, their gadget review show by Hahn Choi, known for his work on G4 and TechTV for Fresh Gear. In the final episode, a sad looking Choi stated that he was given an ultimatum: move to L.A or contribute to the network in another capacity. While says he’s still weighing his options, fans are speculating that he may go on to continue the show on his own. Regardless, based on the responses on the InDigital forum so far fans are less than pleased.InDigital will be replaced by Tekzilla which premieres Friday, September 28th and will have Jessica Corbin, former InDigital co-host as well as contribution by former co-host Wil Wheaton. We’ll be looking forward to seeing what Tekzilla is offering and all signs point to good things.

Revision3 has finally launched its new flash player on its website for all to view. The site which offers free technology oriented programming through its site has been in operation since 2005 has gained much popularity because of the people behind the scenes and in front the cameras being mainly from the now defunct TechTV. The previous flash player was shunned by many which was primitive compared to flash video players available now. Users can now change volume and what is sure to make people happy: play videos in full screen.

The site will also be offering a streaming HD version of it’s flagship show Diggnation, available to its paying members as of Friday, August 31st 7PM Eastern time. Streaming HD and downloadable versions of the show go out to from 12:01 on Sunday morning to the public. The change in time should sit well with viewers who have been wanting to get the shows available to all on weekends as opposed to Tuesdays as was the old schedule.

The site was ordered to pay a symbolic Euro 1 ($1.38) to Christian Carion for a clip from his film “Merry Christmas” as well as pay the film’s producers and distributors $17, 914 and $13,780 US respectively.
